The Fear of Falling and the Fallout of Not Telling
Every year one in four older people fall, but fewer than half tell their doctor about it, which is concerning to doctors. The two hospitals have identified several conditions that often contribute to falls such as vision problems, foot pain, a vitamin D deficiency and home hazards such as throw rugs.
