National magazine names Coffman as a "Leader to Know"
Joan Coffman, president and CEO at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls, and Faye Deich, chief operating officer at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, recently were named to Becker's Hospital Review magazine's list of "300 Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know."
According to the magazine, the leaders named to the list "have shown admirable dedication to the improvement of healthcare delivery at local, regional and national levels," and "have demonstrated great promise and skill to the American healthcare landscape."
Joan Coffman leads St. Joseph's Hospital - a family-focused facility locally respected for delivering quality health care since 1885. It's been nationally recognized for outstanding patient satisfaction, and under Coffman's leadership has received the Press Ganey Summit Award two years in a row for having among the nation's highest inpatient care satisfaction scores. St. Joseph's Hospital also was honored as the recipient of the HealthGrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award in 2011 and 2012. The award recognizes hospitals for patient satisfaction based on patients' experience at health care facilities.
Under Faye Deich's leadership, Sacred Heart Hospital won the Wisconsin Forward Award, which is an award given to a select group of organizations that demonstrate excellent business practices. The hospital has also received the Practice Greenhealth Environmental Leadership Award for five years running, and was inducted into the Environmental Leadership Circle under Deich's leadership. Sacred Heart Hospital also was recently named to the national '100 Great Community Hospitals' list by Becker's Hospital Review, based on rankings from a variety of industry sources, including iVantage Health Analytics, Thomson Reuters, HealthGrades and the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
