Prevention is the key to good health and well being. Our community wellness and education programs include:

E-Quit : Online Stop Smoking Program— If you want to stop smoking but don't want to come to weekly group meetings, we now offer individual guidance from Respiratory Therapists specially trained in smoking cessation. Following an individualized assessment held at the hospital, goals and a realistic quit date will be established. Weekly sessions are emailed with opportunities for questions, concerns, and progress reports via email (at your convenience and based on your needs).
Participants can start anytime. Cost is $50.

Way For Life: Online Weight Management Program— If you want to learn about eating healthy but don't have time to come to evening meetings or dislike group sessions, get individualized guidance from our nutrition professionals with weekly sessions emailed directly to your home. After a one-on-one consultation with a Registered Dietitian, you will set realistic goals for your specific needs. You are emailed sessions weekly. You can email your questions, concerns, and progress reports back at your convenience. This series is facilitated by a Registered Dietitian with special training in adult weight management from the American Dietetic Association.
Participants can start any time. Cost is $175.

Babysitters Clinic— Become the best babysitter you can be, the Partners of St. Joseph's Hospital presents several babysitting clinics for youth ages 11-16 each spring.

Continuing Education for Treatment and Health Care Professionals— LE Phillips-Libertas Treatment Center in Chippewa Falls offers monthly lectures on current trends and topics to benefit those in social work, law enforcement, treatment services as well as the general public. View calendar.

Children's Health Fair— An annual event for area first graders, offering a hands-on approach to health care. With the help of the Partners of St. Joseph's Hospital, hospital staff and local EMS, children learn not to fear hospitals and the strange equipment used by medical staff. These sessions are held each spring.

CHIP: Chippewa Health Improvement Partnership— Facilitated by St. Joseph's Hospital, a Board of local citizens representing schools, churches, businesses, health and medical facilities, senior citizens, government, legal agencies, and the public at large meet to create better health in Chippewa Falls. Their goal is to develop and implement collaborative activities directly aimed at improving the health stats and quality of life in Chippewa County. Some of those initiatives include increasing access to oral health care of the uninsured and underinsured, promotion and education of Advance Directives and addressing the obesity epidemic in our community.

Speakers Bureau— St. Joseph's Hospital offers this free service to local clubs, organizations and groups who need expert information on a particular healthcare topic. Some of the most popular topics include weight management, nutrition, exercise, women's health issues and stress management.
