For those who live, work, and play in the Chippewa Valley, around-the-clock, high-quality emergency service, available anytime to everyone is expected. St. Joseph's Hospital is Chippewa County's health care provider with full-time, 24-hour emergency physician coverage.

St. Joseph's Emergency Services is staffed 24-hours-a-day with a team of health care professionals experienced in caring for patients with a variety of medical and surgical emergencies, as well as minor illnesses and injuries.

The physicians in Emergency Services are part of a group of experienced emergency physicians employed by St. Joseph's Hospital. The nursing staff is specially trained and permanently assigned to the department. Emergency Services nursing staff is credentialed with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). They are supported by a full complement of ancillary services, including a decontamination tent for chemical or biohazard emergencies and air medical services transport (infant medical emergencies or burn trauma).

St. Joseph's Hospital is designated as a Level III trauma center by the American College of Surgeons.

REGISTRATION

We offer bedside registration and discharge, keeping patients from longer waits before and after treatment.

As the hub for emergency disaster management for Chippewa County, our emergency readiness includes a decontamination center, hazardous materials tents, pharmaceutical supplies, and protective gear.

Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, our staff works hard to make the experience of each patient and family member the best it can be.
