St. Joseph's Occupational Health and Medicine program offers comprehensive and affordable occupational health care services to help meet the needs of employers and employees in the Chippewa Valley. Our program offers efficient solutions customized to meet your immediate needs, including prompt notification of injury or illness status, work restrictions, and treatment plans.

Today, more than ever employers are more concerned about the well-being of their employees as well as reducing lost work time and lowering health care costs.

That's why St. Josephs Hospital has expanded our Occupational Health and Medicine program to help employers care for their employees. These services include:

OSHA Medical Surveillance including respiratory screenings and fit testing and hearing conservation.

DOT Physicals

Acute Injury Evaluation and Management to reduce lost work time by returning the employee to full or modified duty as soon as medically appropriate. MDA (Medical Disability Advisor) guidelines ensures common standards are reviewed and shared with patient and employer.

Substance Abuse Testing and Consortium Services including DOT Drug and Alcohol Program, non-mandated Drug Free Workplace and Prevailing Wage, and other drug and alcohol programs. Our local medical review officer is certified by the Medical Review Officer Certification Council (MROCC), ensuring timely review of drug screen results and employee contact.

Integrated Rehabilitation Services including on-site rehabilitation services, biomechanics training, ErgoScience format for Functional Capacity Evaluations (unique to the Chippewa Valley), work hardening and conditioning programs, ergonomics evaluation and job-site analysis, and pre-work screen/agility tests.

On-Site Training and Certifications in CPR, First Aid, and bloodborne pathogens.

With locations at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls and at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, we support the Chippewa Valley by working to keep your employees safe and healthy. Gain immediate access to care, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year through our Urgent Care or Emergency departments. Along with immediate care, you have 24-hour access to alcohol and urine drug collection and testing with complete Medical Review Officer services.

St. Joseph's Occupational Health customizes comprehensive, cost-effective wellness programs for businesses. Our services include health risk assessments, lab draw or finger stick blood work, biometrics, women's and men's health screenings, and health coaching.

AND ALCOHOL
PROGRAMS

Whether the workplace is substance-free on a voluntary or federally mandated basis, we offer customized, regulatory-compliant testing for pre-placement, random, reasonable cause, post-accident, and return-to-duty programs. As part of our comprehensive services we utilize specialized software specifically designed for random testing programs, and provide educational training along with on-site collection and testing. MOBILE SERVICES

We bring our Mobile van to your worksite to provide you with cost saving solutions for your wellness needs. Mobile service includes specialty exams, DOT physicals, OSHA compliance exams, evidential breath testing, audiometric testing, respirator fit testing, spirometry, urine drug screens/collections, and flu shots.

INJURY MANAGEMENT

Communication is the key to effective injury management. As the employer, you will be kept up-to-date on the diagnosis, prognosis, treatment plan, and modified duty options.
