Denise Molloy, OTR
Occupational Therapist | St. Joseph's Hospital since 1993
Denise has provided occupational therapy interventions in home health, hand therapy, inpatient therapy, and outpatient therapy. She currently specializes in manual lymphedema therapy. In 1998, Denise began treating UE lymphedema as well as post breast cancer surgery. She is certified in comprehensive lymphedema and venous edema management and has taken additional coursework in advanced lymphedema management.
In addition, Denise performs pre-work screens for area businesses through Partners in Health. She has initiated community wellness classes at St. Joseph's Hospital, taught Tai Chi as a certified instructor in Tai Chi Fundamentals, and organized yoga and Feldenkrais classes.
Prior to coming to St. Joseph's Hospital, Denise worked in industrial rehabilitation at Work Recovery and Luther Hospital. She also provided occupational therapy treatment for inpatients, outpatients, hand therapy, and shared service to area nursing homes through Luther Hospital.
Denise grew up in Milwaukee and earned her degree there before moving to Eau Claire for her first job. Now, she lives in rural Boyd with her husband John and daughter Rachel. She enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, snowshoeing, horseback riding, gardening, and wetland restoration. She also enjoys traveling and new adventures.
