Orthopedic, gynecology, urology, podiatry and general surgery are just a few of the services our surgery team is prepared for at St. Joseph's Hospital. Whether you're having traditional open surgery or a minimally-invasive laparoscopic procedure, our team of experienced health care professionals provide highly individualized care utilizing modern, high-tech equipment. Our team members constantly update their capabilities with continuing education in specialty skills and certification. Located on the second floor of the hospital, surgical procedures are conducted in one of five newly remodeled and expanded surgical suites with the latest technology and equipment.
A separate endoscopy suite is a self-contained unit with its own treatment and recovery area for patient convenience, comfort, and privacy. It is used for outpatient procedures such as colonoscopies and bronchoscopies.
SURGICAL WING
Our Surgical Wing includes five surgery suites, a five-bed post anesthesia unit, seventeen pre-operative beds and five post-operative beds (for same-day surgery patients), and a family waiting room with a private physician counsel area.
PRE-OPERATIVE EDUCATION
Pre-operative teaching is a priority at St. Joseph's Hospital. Specially trained nurses ensure the patient and family members are informed of the preparations necessary before surgery and have thorough follow-up contact with patients following discharge to promptly address any questions or concerns.
